It sure is nice to spend an evening with family. Even though my parents, my brother & his family and my family only live about 20 minutes from each other, we only get together once every couple of months. It seems as though every one's schedules collide and with little ones, it's hard to make "plans" to get together!
Well we did just that tonight at my parents house. It sure was nice. It's nice to see the kids play together, and it's always nice to see all of my dad's new "toys." Whether it be a new car, tractor, motorcycle, quad, piece of furniture, etc., there is always something he wants to show us. Which is wonderful! He and my mother have both worked very hard for everything that they own so I get excited to see them excited when they get new toys!
I enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the little ones run through the yard, climb the steps and throw rocks (that's you, Ty-Ty!)! It really is a shame that we don't get together more often. But when we do, we build fond memories and that is what matters most! The only thing missing tonight was Alyssa, who would have made the family complete! Hopefully next time!
If you haven't gotten together with close family in while, take some time out of you busy schedule and enjoy their company! You'll enjoy it more than you know!!
